Fr. Oginga Studied Philosophy and Theology and has worked in many parishes in Kisumu Diocese where he has been very instrumental in establishing churches, (literally setting up a new building and nurturing small Christian communities through his teachings on pragmatic application of the gospel; a gospel that addresses the everyday needs of the human creation. He has published several books on community development- a theological perspective, drawing n his experiences with various societal problems and the inadequacies of hierarchical interventions. His insightfulness and deep conviction about making a difference here on earth are very much in line SINAM’s philosophy of creating a conducive environment through which addicts and those with mental health problems may reclaim their lives.
